The two talented sisters are dedicated students of music. They not only excel in tabla, but also dance and singing. Avani and Jhanavi frequently perform at the Radha Krishna Mandir, and for many other programs throughout the GTA.

.Krishi is a remarkable young man and a dedicated tabla student. It is a pleasure to work with him, as he is always striving to improve his skills. He frequently plays tabla at pujas, satsangs, and often at the Mississauga Ram Mandir.

In this video, he is playing a beautiful tukra in teentaal.

Uncle Kem and Uncle Vishnu - two students who exemplify the notion that age is irrelevant in the pursuit of knowledge and music. Both individuals have come such a far way, now being able to play for bhajans, kirtan, filmy, and other genres of music. Despite their busy schedules, they always make time for riyaaz.

In this video they are practicing in Rupak taal (7 beats) playing a rela and tihai.

Noah, a dedicated student of tabla is doing a great job and sharing his riyaaz. He is playing a Kaida in Teentaal, using the two finger tite and tirkit technique.

A committed student of Taal Sadhana, is a multi-talented individual who excels in singing, playing the tassa, and studying Panditi.

In this video, he showcases his riyaaz by demonstrating a short tukra followd by a kaida which incorporates the "two-finger tite" technique, a hallmark of the Delhi Gharana.

@bhuvan.ashwar a devoted tabla student of Taal Sadhana, is a skilled singer, Kathak dancer, and knowledgeable Pandit. He is currently performing a complex Punjab Chakradar, a piece often played by many maestros.

In tabla, a Chakradhar (चक्रधार) is a rhythmic pattern or composition that consists of a series of intricate mathematical cycles. The term "Chakradhar" comes from the Sanskrit words "Chakra" (चक्र), meaning cycle or wheel, and "Dhar" (धार), meaning holder or keeper.

A Chakradhar typically involves multiple layers of cycles, often with overlapping or interlocking patterns, creating a rich and intricate texture. These compositions are designed to showcase a tabla player's skill over complex rhythms, timing, and polyrhythms.

Chakradhars are usually performed (but not limited) during advanced stages of a tabla solo or in accompaniment with other instruments. They are an integral part of Indian classical music.

This years program will be held at Bhavani Shankar Mandir and will feature the students of The Tabla Studio, and other talented youths of our community such as Neetu Rambharack Priya Persaud Ravin Samaroo, Dhruv and Rudra Dath

There will be items ranging from songs, dances, tabla performances, as well as a special tribute to the late Lata Mangeshkar and Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.

Music helps us to express that which cannot be expressed simply with words. It helps us to escape from the harsh realities we live in, and can bring us closer together. It heals us and mends our broken thoughts, spirit, and souls. It has the power to inspire and motivate, and as it did for me, it has the power to change lives.
