TAAL SADHANA, formerly known as The Tabla Studio, is a premier institution dedicated to the art of tabla and dholak lessons within the Greater Toronto Area. We cater to students of all ages and skill levels, offering comprehensive training and education in these traditional Indian percussion instruments. Our school specializes in the study, training, and research of tabla, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for this rich cultural heritage. Over the years, our students have actively contributed to numerous charitable events and cultural programs, showcasing their talents and enriching the community. Taal Sadhana remains committed to promoting and nurturing skilled stage performers who selflessly share their artistry at Mandir events, cultural shows, weddings, birthdays, and other sangeet programs

Teacher & Founder

Dinesh Hansraj, a seasoned tabla player with over 16 years of experience, hails from a musical lineage. His initial tabla training was under the guidance of Shrimati Rachna Mehra of the Benaras Gharana. Currently, he continues his studies in Indian classical music under the tutelage of the renowned tabla maestro, Pandit Nishikant Barodekar, a senior disciple of Ustad Allah Rakha. Dinesh has actively contributed to the community by performing and participating in charitable and cultural programs for various organizations. His unwavering commitment lies in preserving the art of tabla by imparting his knowledge and skills to the younger generation.
